How do I contact you?
You may schedule a time with me after school, or swing by my room, ____, any day before ______. My contact information can be found on the contacts page. Please allow at least one business day response time for all phone calls and emails. Parents/Gaurdians may call or email me to schedule a conference time if desired. Phone conference times are also available upon request.
I lost my essay or homework prompt, how do I get a new one?
It is your responsibility to keep track of your work, however most assignments are posted on the homework/assignments page. Extra copies will not be handed out in class unless a student is absent on the day work is assigned.
I was absent. How do I get my makeup work?
First, check the schedule and homework/assignments page on the website. This should outline what was covered in class, and provide you with any assignments that were given. Be sure to check with a classmate for all class notes and in case we covered anything that is not on the website. Also, check the absent folders in class for assignments and make-up work. You will have as many days to make up the work as you were absent from class.
According to the gradebook, I am missing an assignment, but I know I turned it in. What do I do?
All zeros in the gradebook are assignments that I did not have to grade. If an assignment was handed in late and not turned in properly (to the late assignment folder), it may have been misplaced. It is your responsibility to ensure that all work is handed in properly and on time. The assignment may be re-submitted up to two weeks after the due date for partial credit.
I am unhappy with my grade. Do you offer extra credit assignments?
No individual extra credit assignments are offered, however there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to receive extra credit. Optional assignments, bonus questions, and extra points for early submittal on certain assignments will be offered regularly throughout the year. The best way to avoid this situation is to work to your potential and receive the original credit on an assignment.
I need extra help on an assignment. When can I meet you?
You may come see me afterschool. If you need to meet with me for more than a few minutes, it is best to speak with me in class to schedule the best day that works for both of us. I can answer brief questions by email, however the best assistance is always provided in person. Do not wait until the day before an assignment is due to come see me.
